Mincore is currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate for a Project Manager Role to work with a mining and metals project delivery team. The fulltime role is Melbourne based, with flexible working arrangements. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Management

Responsible for project delivery of the approved scope within the agreed budget and timeline

Management of a project team with defined roles and responsibilities

Management of a detailed project schedule and milestones with defined accountabilities

Develop and maintain risk and issues registers

Weekly reporting

Drive weekly progress and coordination meeting with the project team, and participate in broader program delivery meetings when required

Manages the quality of deliverables in line with the standards set by the Mincore

Coordination between Mincore and Client.

Study & Engineering Management

Work within the spirit of the Project to optimize the design and delivery plan

Management of feasibility studies and projects

Scoping and delivering a range of general services such as: due diligence, peer review, project audits, reviewing operational issues and providing practica solutions

Ensuring studies are scoped correctly and managed to agreed timelines

Weekly reporting

Drive weekly progress and coordination meeting with the project team, and participate in broader program delivery meetings when required

Delivering study documents, reports, recommendations & presentations that meet study guidelines and procedures

Skill & Experience

5 to 10+ years of experience of managing or leading Project in Mining and Mineral Processing industry

Previous experience in EPC, EPCM or Design & Construction multi-disciplinary major projects is highly regarded

Experience in managing iron ore, gold, base metal plant design projects

Broad understanding of all aspect of study management and delivery including technical, financial, commercial and marketing

Proven report writing capabilities

Client liaison and business development

Proficient in use of project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6

Proficient in Microsoft Office

A detailed understanding of AUSIMM Guidelines

Well-developed leadership, mentoring and team management skills

Excellent communication skills

Positive and proactive attitude
