Feasibility Studies

Scoping Studies

Scoping studies represent the initial phase in project evaluation, focusing on defining project parameters and objectives with precision.

Mincore’s experience and capability in this area have been utilised by an extensive range of small to large Mining and Metals Processing and Industrial Organisations.  Mincore works closely with our clients to deliver a comprehensive and detailed assessment, viability and recommendations for their Resources and Assets. The study serves as the foundation upon which more detailed project planning and evaluations can be undertaken.

Pre-Feasibility Studies

A Pre-feasibility studies represent the intermediate phase of project evaluation, providing a more detailed analysis of a project's viability and potential return on investment.

Mincore’s team of regulatory, technical, commercial, legal and environmental experts provide our clients with the confidence that the Resource and or Asset has been assessed to the industry standard guidelines providing financial modelling for the business case using key metrics of Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback Time PBT.  The findings from a pre-feasibility study will be instrumental in guiding project stakeholders toward a well-informed decision on whether to proceed with a full feasibility study and project development.

Front End Engineering

Front End Engineering (FEED) marks the crucial phase that bridges feasibility studies and detailed engineering design, ensuring that project concepts are transformed into a technically sound and economically viable plan. During FEED, Mincore’s engineers and technical experts refine project specifications, conduct detailed design work, and optimise engineering solutions. This phase involves rigorous analysis of materials, equipment, processes, and system integration to develop a comprehensive blueprint for the project's execution. The outcome of FEED includes detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and an accurate project cost estimate, serving as the basis for project execution and procurement activities. FEED plays a pivotal role in minimising project risks and ensuring that the final project design aligns with project objectives and industry standards.
