We support mid-tier and major resource clients through scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design and construction phases, operating within an EPCM delivery framework both nationally and internationally.
The Opportunity
Due to sustained growth across multiple capital projects, Mincore is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for an immediate start to take ownership of mechanical equipment packages within large-scale mining and mineral processing developments.
This role is suited to engineers who are commercially aware, technically strong, and confident managing vendor interfaces within structured capital project environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of assigned mechanical equipment packages from study through to execution.
- Manage crushing circuits, grinding circuits, thickeners, materials handling systems and associated process plant.
- Prepare technical specifications and scopes of supply.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and support procurement recommendations.
- Coordinate vendor documentation, technical queries (TQs), design reviews and drawing approvals.
- Monitor vendor performance against scope, schedule and quality requirements.
- Interface effectively with process, structural, electrical and project controls teams.
- Support inspection and test plans (ITPs), factory acceptance testing (FATs) and site commissioning activities.
- Provide structured progress reporting aligned to cost and schedule tracking systems.
About You
- Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer.
- 5–10 years’ experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing mechanical equipment packages within EPCM or contractor environments.
- Exposure to feasibility, detailed design and execution phases.
- Strong vendor coordination and stakeholder management capability.
- Commercially aware with understanding of capital project controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
